It is therefore only natural that with this level of privacy users want their devices to resemble their state of mind and style, in whatever way possible. Screensavers are yet another way of device customization. With interesting applications oscillating around accelerometer dependant screensavers and even more interesting eye-candy screensavers build on top of Flash Lite technology which is getting serious traction in the mobile world. However a lot of value for the user can also be embedded within something so small as the screensaver - using a solution called the active idle screen. The active idle screen is a custom made screensaver which can be designed to display information such as a stock-market ticker, RSS feeds, inform the user of unread mail messages in inbox or for that matter any other type of vital information.
