Nokia's new E-Series Devices and Wireless Presenter

Warsaw, Poland, June 16th, 2008 – Today, Nokia introduced their new E-series devices: E66 and E71 with one of Psiloc's top applications - Wireless Presenter as a free download for all E66 and E71 users.

This application enables its user to remotely manage Power Point presentations by using the phone navigation keys at a distance of a Bluetooth beam or WLAN connection. It is tailor-made for all professionals who use power point presentations in their daily life such as: trainers, coaches, consultants, teachers, product and brand managers, salesmen, IT Department workers, etc...

Wireless Presenter allows them not only to keep on track by counting the time from the start of the presentation, but also can display the phone's screen on a PC computer.

This application can be found on the new Nokia E66 and E71 series handsets, in the downloads folder on the main menu. After installing and running application user have to go to Options select License and choose Get free license.

It is an absolutely indispensable Symbian application that keeps your mobile phone automatically updated with its address book, calendar information and to-do items stored on the personal computer. Smartphones’ users, who are clients of the polish network operator ERA PTC, are now a privileged group. From January 9th 2006 they can download a great mobile application which facilitates the use of Omnix service. This application, called Omnix Magazine, downloads data without the users’ participation. Access to collected data is faster, easier and more comfortable.

The Omnix Magazine application, prepared by Psiloc, is designed for Symbian based smartphones only. Downloaded application adds a new icon to the smartphone menu. Nokia finally unveiled its long awaited improved successor of the 9300 Comunicator. Nokia 9300i adds Wi-Fi connectivity to the EDGE support, Bluetooth, high-resolution display and super-size thumb-board of the 9300.

To make the most of Nokia 9300i possibilities, the Finnish manufacturer has implemented a lot of useful software. One of the solutions preinstalled on the Nokia 9300i is Psiloc HotSpot Finder. It helps to exploit the new device’s greatest advantage, the WLAN connectivity.

HotSpot Finder informs Nokia 9300i users about nearby hotspots. The application works in the background and searches for wireless LAN hotspots while the Nokia 9300i is closed.

Psiloc has just updated its best selling applications, which are now better and more user-friendly.

irRemote for Series 60, which allows to control all the electronic stuff around the house with your smartphone, has been updated to version 2.03. The application has got a new, stylish interface. The database of 2000 additional devices is now available.

Extended Recorder for Series 60 has been updated to version 1.73. Our team has fixed a few bugs reported by users.

Extended Recorder for Nokia Communicators has been updated to version 1.62. A problem with the application installation and uninstllation has been removed.

Wireless Presenter for Series 60, an excellent tool to control your PC at a distance, has been updated to version 1.02. The application is now compatible with Nokia 6260 and a few minor errors were fixed.

Mobile Mouse for Series 60 has been updated to version 1.23. The application is now compatible with Nokia 6260.

Psiloc new solutions are compatible with Symbian v9.1 OS

On the second day of the Smartphone Show Psiloc announced that the recently launched products: DRM Common Solutions, Wireless Presenter, HotSpotFinder and Mobile Mouse are compatible with completely new Symbian v9.1 OS.

Psiloc DRM Common Solutions is a set of custom-fit components enabling secure and effective distribution of digital content to smartphone users worldwide. They are directed to developers, content providers and GSM operators.

Three new Psiloc applications increase the smartphones productivity. The Wireless Presenter allows managing a Power Point presentation and other Windows-based software with a smartphone at a distance of a Bluetooth beam. It extends the possibilities of Psiloc Mobile Mouse by transforming a smartphone into a Bluetooth computer mouse. Both solutions do not need any additional software installed on the PC.

HotSpotFinder gives an advantage to people on the go. It finds Wireless LAN hotspots automatically and allows connecting to the internet any time it is necessary.

All new applications work on the recently announced, most expected Nokia Series60 3.0 device with Symbian 9 OS but also on the older ones proving the innovative thinking ability of Psiloc programmers.

Psiloc decided to enable free access to the applications designed for Psion PDAs. From now on every user can download PSIloc+, plOpen, plBeam, plFEP, GPRS and various localizations for free. To do so the owners of Psion devices are only required to enter their unique ID at the special website.

The applications made for Psion PDAs provided the grounds for the global success of Psiloc. Psion devices work under Epoc operation system on which today’s Symbian OS is based. With in-depth knowledge of Epoc OS Psiloc professional programmers were able to design applications for Symbian-based Nokia Communicator 9210 shortly after its launch.

Psiloc will no longer be selling software for Psion PDAs and there will be no support for the solutions mentioned above.

Psiloc announced that the company has changed its R&D developers structure and moved to a new office building in Warsaw.

Psiloc has moved its R&D teams from Koszalin, Wroclaw and Krakow to Warsaw... and employed new Symbian developers to offer complex mobile solutions based on Symbian and Windows Mobile OS.

Since the 1st of August the Psiloc R&D in Koszalin, Wroclaw and Krakow are closed. Now all the Psiloc activities are based in the Psiloc Warsaw office at Robotnicza street numberr 3.

Psiloc Common Solutions is a set of tools: security, licensing and distribution system for Symbian applications. Psiloc applications for Nokia 7710

Psiloc published today the first application for the new Nokia 7710. The Screen Capture application known from Series 60 and UIQ platforms.

Using that application in the device, the end user can capture screen contents anytime using a defined key combination. Pictures are saved in a folder accessible via the Images application. Screen Capture works in the background and has no influence on any other running applications. The trial version of the application has the Psiloc copyright stamp on the screen. The full registered version of the application is free of the copyright stamp.

Psiloc took over Windows Mobile developer MobilOK

Psiloc Mobile Solutions announced today the takeover of the Polish Windows Mobile developer company MobilOK to offer full mobile solutions both in Symbian and in Windows Mobile for GSM Operators, Content Providers, Business Enterprise customers and End Users.

Psiloc became the owner of the MobilOK Intellectual Property Rights and its application offering broadened to Windows Mobile Smartphone applications: World Traveller and TinyGPS.

Those two applications were based on Psiloc products: World Traveller and MiniGPS. In April 2004 Psiloc gave MobilOK the exclusive rights to use the ideas of Psiloc Symbian applications and to port them to Windows Mobile Smartphones.

Extended Profiles

Today Psiloc launched a new application for the Series 80 called Extended Profiles and extends the functionality of the Series80 smartphones with the user's profile scheduling. Extended Profiles enables the end user to automatically switch the profiles of the smartphone. The user may simply select the time, required profile and weekday (daily, working days, weekend etc.) - Extended Profiles will do the rest: switch and activate the profile automatically at the scheduled time and come back from the scheduled to the initial profile. The end user may edit the main profiles in the phone and change the profiles settings that are not editable using the standard "Profiles" application. The end user may edit all accessible profiles in the phone except from the "offline" profile. It is also impossible to set the schedule to and from offline profile.

Psiloc launched today a new application for S60: Voice Reminder. The Voice Reminder application is the easiest way to remember everything you need. It will extend your memory, making your life more efficient while saving time and effort.

Say into the microphone whatever you need to remember and then select a time for the alarm event. The application will then automatically let you listen to the note just when you need it and alerting you with a selected sound that there is something you need to remember. You can set an alarm specifying the exact time in the future or by deciding after how long an elapsed time you would like to be reminded.
