World Traveler preinstalled on Nokia N97

Warsaw, Poland, June 18th, 2009 - Nokia has launched their flagship N97 touch UI device with Psiloc’s World Traveler application pre-installed. World Traveler will provide an invaluable service to global travelers and now, specifically users of Nokia’s newest sensation- the N97. Nokia’s N-Series product line is comprised of their top of the line handsets that combine design, functionality and features to create an elite final product. The Nokia N97 sets the bar at a completely new high. This is the device that smartphone fans around the world have been waiting for, and Psiloc is along for the ride with World Traveler pre-installed in the handset.

About World Traveler

World Traveler is a breakthrough open platform application developed by Psiloc that is aimed to make a business traveler’s life easier. The currently released 1.1 version offers four basic free services:

Weather - a five day weather forecast and current conditions for around 2200 most popular travel locations worldwide.
World Clock - four analog or digital clocks which show local time at four cities of your choice simultaneously.
Currencies - automatic currency converter which uses local exchange rates. The currencies plug-in supports daily closing values of 184 exchange rates.
Wold Map - a moving 3D globe which shows day and night zones, My City and any city selected by the user.

The open platform infrastructure allows other premium travel services to be offered, installed and accessed from the World Traveler application in a seamless, easy way. World Traveler creates a business platform for third party’s, travel-related plug-ins. Psiloc provides development API for third party companies so that they can reach a broad customer base of travelers. These plug-ins may include premium billable content. This application is contextually based on a travel plan, and synchronizes between this plan and the device’s calendar, allowing Traveler’s to best plan and manage their journeys’ activities.
