Psiloc irRemote for S60 3rd Edition Goes Global

Warsaw, Poland, November 14th, 2007 – Psiloc, leading provider of mobile solutions, announced today the new version of irRemote - the best recognizable third-party Symbian application - which is compatible with all Symbian S60 3rd edition devices equipped with Infrared module.

irRemote turns smartphone into an universal remote control. irRemote allows to operate audio and video equipment using one device – Symbian-operated smartphone with Infrared port.

The first version of Piloc irRemote introduced to the market in 2003 was awarded just a few months later in October 2003 as the most innovative application during Series 60 Platform Community Award Ceremony in Nice, France. The greatest challenge we have faced while working on irRemote was to force the IR (Infrared) module to send signals understandable by IR controlled devices. Additionally, we created an extensible, community-managed database of IR codes so the application can control any device available on the market. The database can be browsed directly from the application and new codes can be uploaded by the community.
